ETHNO COLLECTION OF NEDA TRINAJSTIĆ

The ethnographic collection exhibits items mostly donated by Neda Trinajstić’s family, such as porcelain sets, furniture, copperware and old photographs. Here you can also see the Vrbnik folk costume up close. A simple men's costume consisting of wide black trousers (brageše), a vest (verdakol) and white shirt (stomanja) and a woman's costume (tesnek) made up of black cloth decorated with red, green and yellow varoti, a white shirt (stomanja) and a jacket in red, green or black. The costume is complemented with petticoats and plain material scarves (rub) adorned with rich handiwork. The winter version of the women's costume (kotiga) is made of lambskin and lined with rabbit fur.
