Path length: 22 km
Time of walking: 5 hours and 30 minutes
Path of medium difficulty

From the centre of Vrbnik, along Grohot Street you will come to the crossroads leading to the Žanac and Potovšće Bay and then turn right. Before reaching the small church of St. Nedija - Sv. Nedija (1445) turn left and enter the Vrbnik field planted with the widely famous Vrbnička žlahtina grapes over the surface area of 100 ha. There is a spring at Rovoznik reachable by the trail crossing the vineyard or the one surrounding it.
On the right hand side you can visit the chapel of St. Mary Magdalene - Sv. Marija Magdalena, where, according to legend, the last member of the island’s Frankopan family was married, and the path on the left side, across the Stoza, Matijev (shepherd) stan and Misučajnica (water hole) taking you to an area where, during the summer and winter, flocks of sheep pasture. In this area in spring and early summer, thousands of sage and immortelle plant bushes blossom, and the air is filled with the wild and soporiferous odour of these blossoming flowers. The entire landscape looks like a huge carpet covered with blue, violet and yellow weaving.
Stone houses, once the shepherd’s homes, are spread throughout the entire area because in the past, Vrbnik’s shepherds lived here during the day and night. Today they only remind us of days gone by and of the diligent people who lived there.
By the water hole at Misučajnica, following approximately 30 metres walk, along the paved road, you turn left to reach the area of Branušine. At the end of the long dry stone wall you can turn left to the area of Lug or you can continue straight on towards M. Hlam (446 m). At Čičišće the trail on the left leads back to Vrbnik field – Vrbničko polje and continues to Vrbnik. Straight ahead a wide trail leads to Tohoraj and to the heart of Vrbnik. The trail offers stunning views of Vrbnik, Vrbničko polje and the peaks of Mt. Velebit, Risnjak and Učka.
